The production of zeolite alkylation catalysts increased from 752 MT in 2011 to 1524 MT in 2015, with an average growth rate of 21.75%. Because of the high technology barrier, only four companies are able to manufacture zeolite alkylation catalysts in the world. Sinopec is the largest manufacturer in this market with 548 MT production in 2015. Followed by CRI with 400 MT, Albemarle with 349 MT and BASF with 227 MT.
